WhatsApp? Reaches 1 Billion Users
RingPlus News Service Los Angeles July 27th, 2017:
Facebook has recently released its Q2 earnings and has revealed that the WhatsApp? messaging and media app has now surpassed 1 billion users. According to Facebook, who acquired the company in February of 2014 for $19.3 billion, the app gets 250 million users every day, and sends 55 billion messages and 4.5 billion pictures on average every day. It currently supports 60 languages, and is free. WhatsApp Status, the WhatsApp version of Snapchat has also reached 250 million users.
WhatsApp Status has been growing at an incredible rate, just last May they were reported to have 175 million users, meaning they added 75 million users in just a few months. That is nothing to overlook, since Snapchat currently has 166 million daily users. This does not take away anything from Snapchat however, as they both fill different markets of users.
