  • TPO is another possibility.  You need to watch out.  Their promo pricing is only for the first month.  You need to see the crossed out price for the monthly bill.  I find them decent pricing for monthly unl plans, too.

    https://store.tpo.com/plans

Actually really good: $25.00 (first month promo price $12.50) for UNL Talk/Text and 2GB @ LTE  After 2GB LTE, data is disabled until the next month.  So for $5.00 more, ECO Mobile has unlimited 2G after their 2GB is used up.

  • Their cheapest plan shows $16 after the first month, I don't know if that is before $5 auto pay discount, it could be $11.

Yes, it does look like it will be $11 after the $5 auto pay discount.

  • No prices are shown already after discount.  So $16.

10% goes to charity which is nice.

    Where does it say that?

It's all in the chart. 75% off $16 is $4 the price without Auto Pay is $5.25 so the monthly price without Auto Pay and the 75% discount is $21. I think mintSIM is a better deal if you're fine with T-Mobile and are willing to pre-pay for 6 or more moths.

Thanks. It is in light print, I missed it.

  • Still a descent deal. 4 years ago I was paying $16 for Net10  flip phone with 200 minutes and each text used 5 seconds of time.  Are there taxes on top of the $16?

That is a good question.  I would assume taxes are extra unless they specify that it is included in the price.  Good to know for sure.

  • How did you Port Out to TPO without a SimCard?

Is TPO capable of running Sprint devices that we already have on RingPlus?

So the GSM and CDMA plans are the same price?

Which pan did you choose and what was the total monthly cost?

    $55 a month?

    that is an "exclusive offer"

For me "kind plan" for $16/month is Ok

  • Will my current SIM work with TPO or do I need to get a new SIM from TPO?

Did you use your existing SIM to port?
  • if you are moving to a sprint mvno then you do not need a new sim.
  • Do you need to use a placeholder ESN on Ring plus to free up the esn on Ring plu's end prior to porting into tpo ? or can I just sign up with TPO using my current esn ?
  • GhostDaxedo:
With TPO,  it is necessary to use a placeholder esn to port the number and swap devices later.   It can not be done at the same time.

So I need to place an order at TPO with a bum esn then come back to ring plus and cancel the plan AFTER PORTING COMPLETES and then go back to TPO and swap in the ESN that was on ring plus's acct ?

Couldn't you simply swap esn's on Ring Plus to the bum one then create the new acct's on TPO using the current phone ?

I too would like to know the details.  Actual steps involved in porting the number and the ESN together.  Also, will existing SIM work with TPO?

  • I found the following step-by-step instruction video for porting into TPO

In the next three days or so.  I am trying to find if my existing SIM card would work with TPO so I don't have to buy one from them.

EDIT:  I haven't 100% decided on TPO.  My other options are Tello and joining the family Sprint plan.
